Portugal Maintains Perfect Nations League Record with Victory Over Norway

Ankara:Portugal secured a 2-1 victory over Norway in the UEFA Nations League, marking their fourth consecutive win in League A Group 4. Norway initially took the lead in the 36th minute when Kristoffer Ajer scored with a right-footed strike from outside the box after receiving a forward free kick from Martin Odegaard.

According to Anadolu Agency, Portugal quickly responded two minutes later with Joao Cancelo leveling the score by striking a powerful shot into the top-right corner from the edge of the area.

The decisive goal came in the 79th minute when Vitinha found Joao Felix at the back post, who then assisted Goncalo Ramos for a close-range finish. Despite Erling Haaland's presence, Norway struggled to capitalize, as the forward was substituted in the 67th minute without scoring.

Portugal ended the match with 10 players after Francisco Conceicao received two yellow cards in the 86th minute. Despite the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal's victory moved them to 12 points, maintaining their perfect start in the group.

In other group action, Denmark climbed to second place with six points after a 1-0 win against Wales. Rasmus Hojlund's penalty in the 75th minute secured the victory following a foul by Wales goalkeeper Danny Ward on Gustav Isaksen. Norway and Wales both remain on three points.

In League A Group 2, the Netherlands defeated Serbia 2-1 with Joshua Zirkzee scoring the winning goal. Teun Koopmeiners had initially put the Netherlands ahead, but Serbia equalized through Mihajlo Cvetkovic. Zirkzee restored the Dutch lead, securing the win. Meanwhile, Greece and Germany played to a 0-0 draw, leaving Greece and the Netherlands tied on eight points, Germany with five, and Serbia without a point.
