Doha: Qatar's Defense Ministry announced that the nation was targeted by two drones launched from Iran, focusing on energy infrastructure. The ministry confirmed that there were no casualties as a result of the attack.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Defense Ministry released a statement on the US social media platform X, detailing the incidents. One of the drones struck a water tank at a power plant located in Mesaieed, an industrial city situated south of Doha. The other drone aimed at an energy facility in Ras Laffan Industrial City, which is operated by QatarEnergy.

While no injuries were reported, the ministry stated that authorities are currently assessing the damage and will provide a detailed statement in the near future. In light of the attacks, the ministry urged citizens, residents, and visitors to stay calm, adhere to instructions from security authorities, and avoid spreading or relying on rumors, emphasizing the importance of official sources for information.

These events unfolded shortly after the US and Israel conducted a large-scale attack on Iran, which resulted in the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran has carried out drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and other regional countries hosting US assets.
