Qatar: Qatar announced on Thursday that its air defense systems successfully intercepted several projectiles originating from Iran, amid increasing hostilities between Washington and Tehran.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Defense Ministry in Qatar reported that two ballistic missiles, one cruise missile, and a number of drones were launched from Iran. These were effectively intercepted by Qatar's air defense systems, thereby preventing potential damage and casualties.

The backdrop to these events is a significant increase in regional tensions following a joint attack by Israel and the United States on Iran beginning February 28. This assault has reportedly resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,300 people and injuries to over 10,000, as stated by Iranian authorities.
