Qatar Successfully Intercepts Drones Launched from Iran

Doha: Qatar's Defense Ministry announced that the country was targeted by drones launched from Iran, with the armed forces successfully intercepting all of them, according to the official Qatar News Agency (QNA).

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry stated that the incident occurred earlier on Monday, with air defenses intercepting and neutralizing all drones. The Qatari armed forces confirmed the successful interception of these threats.

The region remains on high alert following the US and Israel's air offensive on Iran on February 28, which resulted in over 1,340 casualties, including the death of then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Tehran has conducted drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These retaliatory actions have caused casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
