Beijing: The relationship between China and Brazil is 'unbreakable,' Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said Monday at the China-Brazil Business Forum in Beijing, according to Chinese state media Global Times.

According to Anadolu Agency, Lula emphasized the vast potential of bilateral ties, stating that as long as China and Brazil collaborate, the Global South will receive unprecedented respect worldwide. He countered negative portrayals of China in global trade discussions by highlighting China's willingness to engage in business with nations often overlooked by other global powers.

Lula highlighted the growing cooperation in sectors such as new energy and infrastructure, announcing substantial new investments. "Today we announced R$27 billion ($4.7 billion) in investments from Chinese companies in Brazil," Lula stated in a post on his X account. He emphasized that this step strengthens bilateral exchange and creates opportunities for trade, investment, and development.

Lula is on a four-day state visit to China from May 10 to 14, marking his sixth visit to the country and his second since 2023. During his visit, he also participated in the opening ceremony of the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-Community of Latin American and Caribbean States Forum.
