Fremont: The remains of two missing girls and a male relative were recovered Wednesday from a biofuel plant that exploded in the US state of Nebraska Tuesday. Fremont Mayor Joey Spellerberg stated that the children, believed to be under 12, were at the Horizon Biofuels plant before a doctor's appointment, waiting for Dylan D. Danielson, 32, an employee at the plant.

According to Anadolu Agency, Dodge County Sheriff Sgt. Brie Frank confirmed that all three victims were family. The explosion occurred Tuesday around midday at Horizon Biofuels, a manufacturer of fuel pellets and animal bedding based in Fremont, about 40 miles northwest of Omaha.

Authorities believe that a wood dust explosion in an elevator tower caused the blast. Mayor Spellerberg mentioned that it was "really the only thing that makes sense" and described the event as a tragedy.
