Sennar: A drone strike by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) killed three people and wounded seven others at Al-Mazmoum Hospital in Sudan's southeastern Sennar state late Sunday, the Sudan Doctors Network reported early Monday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the medical group stated that an RSF drone targeted the hospital Sunday evening, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to seven others, including a medical staff member. The group emphasized that targeting health facilities violates international laws that prohibit attacks on medical centers and health workers.

The Sudan Doctors Network expressed concern that such incidents exacerbate civilian suffering and deprive residents of necessary medical care. The network held the RSF leadership fully responsible for the attack on the hospital. The RSF has not yet commented on the incident.

Sudanese authorities and human rights organizations have previously accused the RSF of targeting civilian facilities, but the paramilitary force has not publicly responded to these allegations, maintaining that it operates to protect civilians.

The World Health Organization (WHO) had earlier warned on February 10 that Sudan's health system is under renewed attack after three health facilities in South Kordofan state were targeted during the first week of the month.

Heavy fighting has persisted in the three Kordofan states-North, West, and South-since October 2025, as clashes continue between the Sudanese army and the RSF. The RSF has been engaged in conflict with the Sudanese military since April 2023 over disputes concerning the integration of the two forces. This ongoing conflict has led to one of the world's most severe hunger crises, resulting in tens of thousands of deaths and the displacement of approximately 13 million people.
