Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100, closed Monday at 14,339.30 points, marking a 1.12% rise from the previous day.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index began the week at 14,269.21 points, gaining 158.61 points since Friday's close. Throughout the trading day, the index saw fluctuations, with its lowest point at 14,207.98 and peaking at 14,433.15.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was approximately 14.18 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $325.6 billion, while the trading volume reached 216 billion liras, or $4.95 billion. Out of the stocks listed on the index, 81 saw an increase, whereas 17 experienced a decline compared to the previous session.

In the commodities market, gold was priced at $4,978.70 per ounce, and Brent crude oil traded at $67.85 per barrel as of 6.45 pm local time (1545GMT). The foreign exchange market saw the US dollar exchanging at 43.7110 liras, the euro at 51.8450 liras, and the British pound at 59.6170 liras.
