New delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov in New Delhi, as confirmed by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Thursday. The meeting focused on reinforcing the strategic partnership between the two nations, which has been described as 'special and privileged.'

According to Anadolu Agency, the discussions centered around implementing agreements from the 23rd bilateral summit, held in New Delhi in December 2025. Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing trade, economic, and investment cooperation, alongside expanding collaboration in energy and industry.

The relationship between Russia and India remains strong, with ongoing cooperation in defense, energy, and trade. Both nations continue to describe their partnership as robust and multifaceted, reflecting their commitment to strategic cooperation.
