Trump’s Spiritual Advisor Faces Backlash for Comparing Him to Jesus

Washington: US President Donald Trump's personal spiritual advisor is facing a massive backlash on social media after making a highly controversial comparison between him and Jesus Christ on Wednesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, Paula White-Cain, known for her spiritual guidance to the president, sparked outrage with her statements. In her speech, she referenced the teachings and sacrifices of Jesus Christ, drawing parallels to President Trump's experiences. White-Cain remarked, "Jesus taught so many lessons through his death, burial and resurrection. He showed us great leadership, great transformation requires great sacrifice." She went on to assert that President Trump had similarly "paid the price," insinuating that his challenges mirrored those faced by Jesus.

White-Cain continued with her controversial remarks, saying, "You were betrayed and arrested and falsely accused. It's a familiar pattern that our Lord and Savior showed us." She further suggested that, like Jesus, Trump's journey did not end with his trials, implying a divine plan and eventual victory akin to Christ's resurrection. "On the third day, he rose, he defeated evil, he conquered death, hell and the grave. And because he rose, we all know that we can rise. And sir, because of his resurrection, you rose up," she added.

Her comments have ignited a storm of criticism on social media platforms, with many users labeling her speech as "blasphemy" and "insanity." The backlash points to the sensitivity and potential offense of drawing parallels between a political figure and a religious icon revered by millions.
