Moscow:Russia has declared its intention to employ its complete arsenal of weapons to defend the Kaliningrad region should it face threats from foreign nations. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov made this assertion while speaking to the Vesti news outlet.
According to Anadolu Agency, Peskov clarified that Russia has not threatened to use nuclear weapons, countering portrayals by Western countries. He emphasized that Russia's stance is purely defensive in response to potential threats, particularly citing statements from individuals in Poland and other nations.
Peskov also addressed the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, stating that Russia will persist in its military efforts until a peaceful resolution becomes viable. He underscored Moscow's preference for a negotiated settlement but affirmed the country's commitment to continue fighting as long as necessary.
Furthermore, Peskov reiterated Russia's determination to maintain control over any part of Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region, stressing that even a fraction of a percent of the territory is considered part of the Russian Federation and is non-negotiable.
