Kramatorsk:Ukraine reported that a Russian strike in Kramatorsk resulted in the deaths of at least 30 people. This incident follows a deadly attack in the country's northern region, which saw the death toll rise to 22.
According to Anadolu Agency, Donetsk Governor Vadym Filashkin stated that the Russian strike in Kramatorsk hit a bus, initially reporting 12 fatalities and 14 injuries. The figures were later updated to 30 dead and 18 injured. Governor Filashkin accused Russia of deliberately targeting civilians and ordered the suspension of public transport operations in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk due to the deteriorating security situation.
Meanwhile, in the northern Chernihiv region, the death toll from a Russian missile attack on Pryluky increased to 22. Chernihiv Governor Vyacheslav Chaus reported that among the deceased were five children, with over 50 individuals injured. Another strike also hit the regional capital of Chernihiv.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the search and rescue operations in Pryluky had concluded. He highlighted that Russia continued its strikes, targeting a public transport stop in Kramatorsk and causing destruction across 10 regions. Zelenskyy urged Ukraine's partners to supply anti-ballistic capabilities, ammunition, and interceptors, emphasizing their role in saving lives.
Ukraine's Air Force announced that it had successfully downed 126 out of 142 attack drones launched by Russia overnight. There has been no response from Russian authorities regarding Ukraine's claims.
In Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported three deaths and 14 injuries from Russian strikes, with eight individuals hospitalized. The ongoing conflict has seen both Moscow and Kyiv increasing their strikes, focusing on each other's logistics centers, ports, and energy infrastructure, while denying targeting civilian infrastructure.
