Russian Foreign Minister Engages in High-Level Talks in Kyrgyzstan

Cholpon-ata: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived in the Kyrgyz resort town of Cholpon-Ata for an official visit that includes high-level talks and participation in a regional security summit.

According to Anadolu Agency, Lavrov is set to meet his Kyrgyz counterpart Jeenbek Kulubayev and President Sadyr Japarov during his visit. He will also participate in the Council of Foreign Ministers meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), a regional bloc led by Moscow.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has stated that discussions will aim at strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including political, economic, military, cultural, and humanitarian areas. Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova mentioned there would be an exchange of views on key regional and international developments, along with discussions on prospects for advancing Eurasian integration.
