Saudi arabia: Saudi Arabia announced on Thursday that it successfully intercepted 33 drones originating from Iran, with four of these drones targeting the eastern region of the country.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Saudi Defense Ministry shared on the US social media platform X that the drones were aimed at strategic locations including the Eastern Province, Prince Sultan Air Base, and the Shaybah oil field. These attacks are part of a broader regional escalation that has been intensifying since a joint assault by Israel and the US on Iran began on February 28.
The conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with Iranian authorities reporting approximately 1,300 deaths and over 10,000 injuries. In response, Tehran has launched its own series of drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations that host US military installations.
