Saudi arabia: Saudi Arabia on Monday announced that it successfully repelled drones attempting to strike the Ras Tanura oil refinery, operated by the state oil giant Aramco. This was reported by the official SPA news agency, citing a spokesperson from the Defense Ministry.

According to Anadolu Agency, the spokesperson confirmed that two drones were intercepted and destroyed before they could cause significant damage. The operation to intercept the drones resulted in shrapnel falling near civilians and civilian objects, but fortunately, there were no civilian casualties. A limited fire was reported due to the falling shrapnel, but it was quickly contained.

This drone attack comes in the wake of a joint US-Israeli military campaign launched against Iran, which resulted in the deaths of several senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries, which host US assets. Some media sources indicated that the refinery was temporarily shut down following the attack.
