Riyadh: The Saudi minister of defense, Khalid bin Salman, announced Friday that he met with Asim Munir, the chief of the army staff of Pakistan, to deliberate on regional security issues, particularly focusing on Iranian attacks targeting Saudi Arabia.

According to Anadolu Agency, bin Salman noted that the meeting tackled the Iranian assaults on Saudi Arabia as part of the strategic defense cooperation agreement between the two nations. The discussions aimed to identify strategies to halt these attacks while bolstering defense collaboration between Riyadh and Islamabad.

The discussions also highlighted the critical need for coordination to address security challenges and ensure regional stability amidst the ongoing military escalation. Both leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining a united front in confronting these security threats.
