Seoul: South Korea's military announced that it "fired warning shots" after a group of North Korean soldiers crossed the border on Tuesday, as reported by Yonhap News. The soldiers reportedly "briefly crossed" the boundary before returning.

According to Anadolu Agency, the South Korea Joint Chiefs of Staff stated that approximately 10 North Korean soldiers crossed south of the Military Demarcation Line (MDL). The soldiers then moved back north shortly thereafter. This incident occurred around 5 p.m. (0800GMT) on the eastern front of the MDL, a heavily fortified area that divides the Korean Peninsula.
