Strait of hormuz: The situation in the Strait of Hormuz will not return to its previous state, an Iranian military spokesman said, asserting Tehran's control over maritime access as tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate.

According to Anadolu Agency, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for the Iranian military's Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, stated that new rules governing transit through the strategic waterway have been established. He emphasized that passage would depend on Iran's authorization.

Zolfaghari remarked that the situation in the strait would not revert to the past, adding that permission for transit would be determined by Iran. He further mentioned that the volatility in oil prices is under Iran's control, considering it a pivotal element in the ongoing confrontation.

Zolfaghari also highlighted the increasing strength of Iran's armed forces and the resilience of its people, while suggesting that adversaries are becoming weakened and show signs of vulnerability.

The United States and Israel have conducted airstrikes on Iran since February 28, resulting in over 1,340 casualties, including the then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, leading to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
