Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, concluded the midweek session at 12,963.87 points, marking a 0.26% increase. The index, which commenced trading on Wednesday at 13,029.32 points, gained 33.71 points from the previous day's close.

According to Anadolu Agency, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index experienced fluctuations throughout the day, with its lowest value recorded at 12,961.54 and a peak at 13,100.40 points. The market capitalization of the BIST 100 was approximately 12.6 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $284.7 billion, alongside a trading volume of 168 billion Turkish liras, or $3.78 billion. Out of the stocks listed in the index, 62 experienced a rise while 36 saw a decline compared to the previous closing figures.

In the commodities market, gold was priced at $4,557.40 per ounce. Brent crude futures were being traded at $96.80 per barrel as of 7.30 pm local time (1630GMT). Meanwhile, currency exchange rates showed the US dollar trading at 44.3540 Turkish liras, the euro at 51.3760 Turkish liras, and the British pound at 59.3645 Turkish liras.
