Istanbul: The International Strategic Communication Summit (Stratcom Summit) 2026 concluded Saturday in Istanbul with a call for truth-based communication.

According to Anadolu Agency, Turkish Communications Director Burhanettin Duran highlighted the productive discussions during the two-day event, which illuminated pressing global issues. Held under the theme “Disruption in the International System: Crises, Narratives, and Search for Order,” the summit covered a range of topics from technology and diplomacy to crisis management and combating disinformation.

Duran emphasized the importance of bilateral meetings held alongside the summit, which created opportunities for cooperation among participants. He described the summit as an intellectual platform bringing together experts from Turkey and abroad to share wisdom and responsibility in addressing global challenges.

The summit, organized by Turkey’s Communications Directorate, featured participation from senior officials and experts, including Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and National Intelligence Organization Director Ibrahim Kalin. Panel discussions tackled issues such as the future of AI in strategic communication, strategic implications of the Iran war, and the permanence of crises in global governance.

Expressing confidence in the summit’s outcomes, Duran stated that it would serve as a milestone toward a more just international order and a transparent communication ecosystem. He urged participants to uphold truth in communication and defend human dignity.
