Aleppo: The Syrian Army reported that the YPG/SDF organization launched over 25 suicide drone attacks on its positions in the Aleppo countryside, violating a recently extended ceasefire, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

According to Anadolu Agency, the Syrian Army's Operations Command stated that SDF forces targeted deployment sites around the Ayn al-Arab area, also known as Kobani, using more than 25 FPV (first-person view) explosive drones. These attacks led to the destruction of four army vehicles. Additionally, the SDF targeted the M4 highway and nearby villages, resulting in injuries to several civilians.

The Operations Command announced that the army is currently evaluating the situation and considering its response options. The statement indicated that the Syrian Army is contemplating operational choices in response to the attacks on civilians and its positions and will take necessary measures.

The Defense Ministry's Media and Communications Department reported that the SDF launched more than 25 FPV suicide drones from positions around Ayn al-Arab, primarily targeting civilian homes and roads in Sarrin, south of the city, causing multiple civilian injuries. The Syrian Army managed to intercept several drones before they could hit roads and homes in residential areas east of Aleppo.

In another incident, SANA reported that the army accused SDF forces of surrounding homes near the village of al-Shuyoukh as part of a 'systematic arrest policy' aimed at detaining young men. This situation escalated into clashes with local residents, leading to civilian injuries.

The attacks occurred a day after the Syrian government extended a ceasefire with the SDF by 15 days. Previously, the government stated that a four-day truce with the SDF had ended and that authorities were deliberating on their next steps following the expiration of that agreement.
