Damascus: Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa held discussions via phone on Sunday with leaders from the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and the Kurdistan Democratic Party concerning regional developments following Iran's retaliatory actions in response to joint US-Israeli military strikes on its territory.

According to Anadolu Agency, President al-Sharaa engaged in separate talks with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, and KDP leader Masoud Barzani. These discussions, as reported by the Syrian Presidency, focused on expressing solidarity and emphasizing Syria's unwavering stance against threats to the sovereignty, stability, and security of Arab nations.

During his conversation with Sheikh Mohammed, al-Sharaa expressed Syria's support for the UAE in maintaining regional security. Sheikh Mohammed, in turn, expressed his satisfaction and appreciation for Syria's supportive stance towards the UAE and other allied nations.

In discussions with the Kuwaiti Emir, al-Sharaa underlined the necessity of enhancing joint Arab coordination, emphasizing dialogue and diplomacy as preferred strategies to resolve ongoing crises and prevent regional escalations. Emir al-Sabah acknowledged Syria's supportive position in maintaining the security and sovereignty of Kuwait and other Arab countries.

Al-Sharaa's conversation with KDP leader Masoud Barzani revolved around assessing current regional tensions and their potential ramifications on security and stability across the region.
