Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, concluded Monday at 13,346.43 points, marking a decline of 2.71% from its previous close. After commencing the week at 12,987.42 points, the index fell by 371.38 points from Friday's closing value.
According to Anadolu Agency, the index recorded a lowest value of 12,987.42, with the day's peak reaching 13,456.56. The BIST 100 index's market capitalization stood at approximately 13.21 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $301.7 billion, alongside a trading volume of 186.2 billion liras, or $4.23 billion.
Out of the stocks listed on the index, 14 experienced gains while 86 saw declines in comparison to the previous closing session. In the commodities market, gold was priced at $5,334.05 per ounce, and Brent crude oil traded at $78.5 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).
Currency exchange rates showed the US dollar at 43.9485 Turkish liras, the euro at 51.4805 liras, and the British pound at 58.9195 liras.
