Trabzon: Trabzonspor appointed German coach Thomas Reis on a two-year contract, the Turkish Super Lig club announced on Thursday. In a disclosure submitted to Trkiye's Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), Trabzonspor said it had reached an agreement with Bulgarian club Ludogorets over Reis' departure.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Black Sea club will pay Ludogorets £900,000 ($1.06 million) in compensation for terminating the 52-year-old coach's contract. Trabzonspor stated that Reis will receive a guaranteed salary of £1 million for the 2026-27 season and £1.2 million for the 2027-28 campaign.

Reis previously coached Trkiye's Samsunspor before joining Ludogorets, marking a significant return to Turkish football with his new role at Trabzonspor.
