Ankara: Trkiye and Azerbaijan plan to hold an 11-day military exercise in the latter's autonomous Nakhchivan exclave, the Turkish Defense Ministry said on Thursday. Speaking at the Turkish Armed Forces' weekly press briefing in Ankara, ministry spokesman Zeki Akturk announced that the two countries plan to hold the exercise, Mustafa Kemal ATAT€š¬…¡¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦‚¬Å“RK-2025, from June 20-30.
According to Anadolu Agency, both countries are also engaged in the Indestructible Brotherhood-2025 exercise, taking place in Nakhchivan from June 12-19 to foster friendship, cooperation, and coordination. Akturk noted that the distinguished observer day for both the Indestructible Brotherhood and Mustafa Kemal ATAT€š¬…¡¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦‚¬Å“RK-2025 exercises will occur simultaneously on June 30.
The Turkish Land Forces Command recently conducted a flag exchange and farewell ceremony for the personnel of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade Command. These personnel will participate in both exercises, and the ceremony was held at the Hasret Bridge, which serves as the sole land border crossing between Trkiye and the Azerbaijani exclave.
