Trkiye Hosts Balkan Foreign Ministers for Peace Platform Meeting

Istanbul: The Turkish foreign minister hosted the second foreign ministers' meeting of the Balkans Peace Platform in Istanbul, Trkiye. The meeting, convened by Hakan Fidan, gathered key foreign ministers from the Balkan region to discuss regional cooperation and peace.

According to Anadolu Agency, the meeting included bilateral discussions between Fidan and his counterparts from Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Albania. These meetings aimed to strengthen regional partnerships and explore concrete areas of cooperation.

Fidan highlighted Trkiye's leadership in the platform, emphasizing its role in enhancing dialogue and fostering regional ownership in the Balkans. He stated on the social media platform X that Trkiye is committed to developing a results-oriented and inclusive mechanism for regional cooperation.

Fidan further affirmed Trkiye's ongoing commitment to contributing to peace, stability, and prosperity in the Balkans. He emphasized Ankara's dedication to leading initiatives that invest in the region's shared future.
