Ankara: Trkiye has categorically denied claims suggesting it exported goods worth $393.7 million to Israel in the first five months of the year.
According to Anadolu Agency, Trkiye's Center for Combating Disinformation addressed these reports, stating that the allegations are false and represent a form of disinformation. The center emphasized that these claims are an attempt to manipulate public opinion and discredit Trkiye's state institutions.
The center further clarified that as of May 2, 2024, Trkiye has completely halted all trade transactions with Israel, including export, import, and transit trade, both at customs gates and in free zones. Since this date, no customs declarations for exports to Israel have been registered, nor have there been any shipments received from Israel.
The statement also highlighted that the trade mechanism established under the Trkiye-State of Palestine Protocol continues to function, ensuring the urgent needs of Palestine are met. Last year, Trkiye's exports to Palestine reached $797 million, conducted via ports under Israeli control. The statement condemned the use of Israel's data to suggest Trkiye is exporting to Israel, labeling it a smear campaign aimed at undermining Trkiye's official institutions.
The statement concluded with Trkiye's strong condemnation of Israel's actions in Palestine and reiterated its support for the Palestinian people.
