Trkiye Sends Over 101,000 Tons of Aid to Gaza Amid Ongoing Crisis

Ankara: Trkiye has sent a total of 101,271 tons of emergency humanitarian aid materials to Gaza, as announced by Trkiye's Communications Directorate on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal. This effort comes in response to the Gaza Strip's ongoing struggles due to Israeli attacks and blockades.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has positioned the country as a vocal advocate for Gaza on international stages, urgently calling for global attention to the crisis. Trkiye has shown dedication to aiding Gaza, which has been under blockade for an extended period, and stands in solidarity with the people of Gaza, who endure severe shortages due to Israeli actions.

In response to the crisis, Trkiye's government mobilized several agencies, including the Foreign Ministry, Interior Ministry, Health Ministry, Disaster and Emergency Management Agency, Turkish Red Crescent, and various NGOs. These organizations have maintained continuous delivery of aid to the Palestinian people.

Trkiye's aid has been delivered via 16 ships and 14 aircraft, consisting of essential items such as personal care kits, hygienic supplies, generators, mobile kitchens, temporary shelters, tents, blankets, sleeping bags, shelter items, food, flour, drinking water, clothing, and toys. Additionally, Trkiye has set up eight field hospitals, dispatched ambulances and medical supplies, and facilitated the evacuation of patients and their companions to Trkiye for further care.

Furthermore, Trkiye has contributed $7.5 million in financial assistance to Gaza through the Turkish Red Crescent and Disaster and Emergency Management Agency, underscoring its commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by the people of Gaza.
