Ankara: Trkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reaffirmed the country's commitment to advocating for the Palestinian cause in every possible international forum. During a meeting with his Palestinian counterpart, Mahmoud Abbas, at the presidential complex in Ankara, Erdogan highlighted the increasing global criticism of Israel and the mounting international pressure concerning its actions.

According to Anadolu Agency, President Erdogan emphasized that Israel's ongoing actions are detrimental to peace efforts. He assured that Trkiye will continue to amplify the Palestinian voice at platforms like the UN General Assembly. Erdogan described Israel's offensive in Gaza as a "new phase of genocide" and warned of the broader implications for regional stability, with Qatar being referenced as an example.

Erdogan stressed the urgency of achieving an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and addressing the humanitarian issues as priorities for Trkiye. He also highlighted the importance of unity within the Islamic world against Israel and called for strengthened political unity among Palestinians.

During their discussions, both leaders also explored a range of bilateral, regional, and global issues, reinforcing the cooperation between Trkiye and Palestine.
