Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, concluded the week on a downward trend, closing at 13,092.93 points, marking a 1.45% decrease from the previous day.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index opened Friday's session at 13,253.33 points. The index experienced a drop of 193.19 points from Thursday's close. During the day, the index reached its lowest at 12,944.68 points and peaked at 13,259.08 points. The total market value of the BIST 100 was approximately 12.8 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to around $290.6 billion. The trading volume for the day was recorded at 145 billion liras, or $3.29 billion. Out of the listed stocks, 26 saw an increase, while 73 declined compared to the previous close.

As of 7 pm local time (1600GMT), the price of gold stood at $5,030.35 per ounce, and Brent crude oil futures were trading at $99.2 per barrel. The exchange rates revealed the US dollar trading at 44.1895 Turkish liras, the euro at 50.6600 liras, and the British pound at 58.5750 liras.
