Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, concluded Thursday at 12,087.97 points, marking a 0.49% increase and achieving a historic closing high. After opening the day at 12,034.94 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 59.13 points compared to Wednesday's close.

According to Anadolu Agency - English, the index's lowest point during the day was 11,907.78, while it reached a daily high of 12,152.59. The market value of the BIST 100 stood at approximately 11.96 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $278.45 billion, with a trading volume of 149 billion liras, or $3.45 billion.

Out of the stocks listed on the index, 61 saw an increase, while 36 experienced a decline compared to the previous close. Meanwhile, gold was priced at $4,447.35 per ounce, and Brent crude oil was trading at $60.75 per barrel as of 6.40 pm local time (1540GMT).

The exchange rates were reported as follows: the US dollar/Turkish lira at 43.0480, the euro/Turkish lira at 50.3625, and the British pound at 58.0140 liras.
