Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, closed Monday at 13,168.16 points, marking an increase of 0.92% compared to the previous day.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index began the week at 12,853.05 points, gaining 120.44 points from the last week's close. Throughout the day, the index reached a low of 12,632.41 and a high of 13,168.16.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was approximately 12.85 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $291.3 billion, with a trading volume of 252 billion liras, or $5.70 billion. Out of the stocks listed on the index, 53 experienced an increase, while 45 saw a decline compared to the previous close.

As of 6.45 pm local time (1545GMT), gold was priced at $4,400 per ounce, and Brent crude futures were trading at $97.50 per barrel. The exchange rates stood at 44.3160 for the US dollar/Turkish lira, 51.4440 for the euro/Turkish lira, and 59.4640 for the British pound against the Turkish lira.
