Ankara: Trkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan commended the Turkish Red Crescent, known as Kizilay, for its significant humanitarian contributions in numerous conflict zones worldwide. At the Turkish Red Crescent Awards Ceremony held in Ankara, Erdogan emphasized the organization's enduring impact on communities in Palestine, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq, and Syria.
According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan highlighted Kizilay's efforts in Gaza, where it has delivered over 26,000 tons of humanitarian aid amidst ongoing conflicts. The President accused the "Zionist genocide network led by Netanyahu" of perpetuating attacks in the region. Since October 7, Kizilay has provided 15 million hot meals and distributed food to 30,000 individuals daily in Gaza.
Erdogan affirmed Trkiye's commitment to humanitarian assistance and its determination to seek justice. He stated that Trkiye would continue to support the oppressed and work towards holding perpetrators accountable legally and historically.
Furthermore, Erdogan issued a caution to those emulating Nazi Germany's leader, warning of inevitable consequences. He criticized Israel's current administration, describing it as a "factory of provocation" fueled by bloodshed, instability, and chaos.
