Trump Claims US Forces Are ‘Totally Destroying’ Iran, Criticizes New York Times Coverage

Washington: US President Donald Trump declared on Friday that his administration was 'totally destroying' Iran both militarily and economically, while criticizing The New York Times for suggesting otherwise. In a post on Truth Social, Trump asserted that the US was achieving significant victories against Iran.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump emphasized the damage inflicted on Iran's military assets, stating that Iran's Navy and Air Force had been decimated. He claimed that Iranian missiles, drones, and leaders had been effectively eliminated as part of the US campaign. Trump highlighted the US military's overwhelming capability and its ongoing commitment to the campaign, mentioning the nation's unparalleled firepower and resources.

Trump further accused Iran of a long history of violence, stating that the country had been responsible for killing innocent people worldwide for 47 years. He expressed his resolve to continue combatting Iranian forces, framing it as an honor to do so as the 47th President of the United States. His comments come in the wake of US and Israeli military actions on February 28, which reportedly resulted in approximately 1,300 Iranian casualties, including several key officials.

In response to the attacks, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Iraq, and Gulf countries that host US military bases.
