Trump Declares US Military Objectives in Iran Nearly Complete

Washington: US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that Washington is close to achieving its military objectives in Iran. During a national address on Operation Epic Fury, Trump stated, "Tonight, I'm pleased to say that these core strategic objectives are nearing completion." Over the past four weeks, US armed forces have reported delivering "swift, decisive, overwhelming victories."

According to Anadolu Agency, the United Nations Security Council condemned Israeli strikes on the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) at the end of March, which resulted in the deaths of three Indonesian peacekeepers. The Security Council expressed condolences to the families of the victims and to Indonesia. The statement also highlighted that five others were injured and underscored a series of incidents affecting UNIFIL positions amid ongoing hostilities along the Blue Line.

At least four individuals were injured on Thursday following a double strike from Iran and Hezbollah targeting central and northern Israel, as reported by Israeli media. Israel's public broadcaster indicated that one of the Iranian missiles impacted Bnei Brak, east of Tel Aviv, damaging the local water network and causing a significant water leak. Additionally, debris from the strike resulted in material damage in various areas including Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, and Bnei Brak.

In other developments, Lebanon's Hezbollah group claimed responsibility for a series of missile and artillery attacks targeting Israeli troops and infrastructure in northern Israel and border areas. Meanwhile, US and Israeli forces targeted two piers in the Strait of Hormuz, as reported by Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency.

Furthermore, a senior Iranian foreign policy official sustained serious injuries in a US-Israeli attack targeting his residence in Tehran, according to local media reports. The UK Ministry of Defense announced the successful downing of over 10 Iranian drones overnight, with approximately 1,000 British military personnel now deployed across the Middle East.
