Trump to Announce Unified Regulation for AI Across All 50 US States

Washington: US President Donald Trump announced plans to issue a single set of rules governing artificial intelligence across all 50 states. Trump emphasized the necessity of a unified approach to maintain global leadership in AI development.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump made the announcement via a post on his social media platform, Truth Social. He stressed the importance of having "One Rulebook" to ensure that the United States continues to lead in artificial intelligence. Trump expressed concern that fragmented regulations at the state level could hinder progress and innovation in the AI sector.

The president highlighted the current advantage the US holds over other countries in the AI race but warned that this lead could diminish if states are left to establish their own rules and approval processes. He argued that such fragmentation could stifle AI development, describing it as being "destroyed in its infancy."

To address these concerns, Trump announced his intention to issue a "one rule" executive order within the week. He underscored the impracticality of requiring companies to secure approvals from all 50 states for AI initiatives, stating, "You can't expect a company to get 50 Approvals every time they want to do something. THAT WILL NEVER WORK!"
