Istanbul: Trkiye's flag carrier Turkish Airlines has retained its position as the country's most valuable brand in 2025, as revealed by a recent report from valuation group Brand Finance. The airline's brand value has reached $2.2 billion, securing its top spot in the annual Brand Finance Trkiye 125 report.

According to Anadolu Agency, Brand Finance has been publishing reports on brand values since 2007, initially listing 100 brands and later expanding to 125 due to the increase in the number of brands. Following Turkish Airlines, household appliance maker Arcelik ranked second with a brand value of $1.64 billion. Turkish IS Bank moved up from fourth to third place this year, with its brand value reaching $1.24 billion.

Electronics manufacturer Vestel, which was in third place last year, dropped to fourth this year, with a brand value of $928 million. Automaker Ford Otosan was fifth with a brand value of $905 million, followed by Ziraat Bank at $875 million. Fashion retailer LC Waikiki, financial services firm Garanti BBVA, Turkish beverage brand Yeni Raki, and VakifBank were also in the top ten, with brand values of $828 million, $721 million, $590 million, and $386 million, respectively.

Trkiye's first electric vehicle brand, Togg, maintained its 20th-place position with a brand value of $179 million, having entered the list last year. This year saw the inclusion of 24 new brands, including Altinkilic, Astor Energy, Bilkom, and others.

Muhterem Ilguner, managing director of Brand Finance Trkiye, commented that the total value of the top 125 brands increased by 15.6% year-on-year, reaching $17 billion. He noted the rising success of ready-to-wear fashion retailers like LC Waikiki, Mavi, and Koton abroad, highlighting the growing importance of branding in this sector. Ilguner also pointed out the prominence of mobility and software firms, suggesting a sign of structural transformation. He added that as Turkish firms gain recognition in aviation and defense, the brand values of companies like Aselsan and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) are also on the rise.
