Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday engaged in a phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, discussing a range of topics including bilateral relations, as well as regional and global developments, as announced by Trkiye’s Communications Directorate.

According to Anadolu Agency, during the conversation, President Erdogan expressed his support for the recent understanding reached between Iran and the US. He emphasized Trkiye’s commitment to providing all necessary support to ensure the process concludes peacefully. The Turkish Communications Directorate conveyed Erdogan’s remarks on the importance of remaining vigilant against any attempts to undermine the talks.

Erdogan highlighted the necessity of taking steps in the new period to bolster regional peace, indicating Trkiye’s dedication to contributing to its establishment. Furthermore, he stated that Ankara is determined to continue enhancing its trade, financial, and energy cooperation with Iran.
