Latakia: Trkiye's National Defense Ministry announced Monday that ships belonging to the Turkish Naval Forces Command visited Syria's Latakia Port. This visit marked the first time Turkish naval vessels have docked at Latakia Port since the onset of Syria's civil war.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry highlighted that Turkish Naval Forces Commander Adm. Ercument Tatlioglu was aboard the TCG Istanbul, one of the ships participating in the visit. This event is significant in the context of Turkish-Syrian relations, as it represents a milestone in naval diplomacy between the two nations.
