Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone conversation with Nechirvan Barzani, the president of Iraq's Kurdish Regional Government (KRG), to discuss the current regional situation.
According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan emphasized that Turkey is committed to countering actions that could lead to long-term instability in the region. He assured Barzani that Turkey is closely monitoring recent movements by terrorist organizations and their affiliated groups. The Turkish leader reiterated Turkey's dedication to ending regional conflicts and pursuing a return to negotiations.
During the call, both leaders underscored the significance of the "Terror-Free Trkiye" initiative, highlighting its importance for regional peace and security.
