Ankara: Trkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday received Valentina Matviyenko, the chairperson of Russia's Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian parliament.

According to Anadolu Agency, the meeting took place at the presidential complex in Ankara, the capital of Trkiye. This visit underscores the ongoing diplomatic dialogues between Turkey and Russia amid a backdrop of regional and international affairs.

Earlier in the day, Matviyenko also engaged in discussions with Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus, highlighting the multifaceted nature of the diplomatic engagements between the two nations. These meetings reflect the continued emphasis on strengthening bilateral relations and fostering cooperation on various fronts.
