Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Wednesday that he will embark on a three-nation Asia tour next week. Speaking at an event of his Justice and Development (AK) Party in the capital Ankara, Erdogan outlined his upcoming visits to Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan emphasized Trkiye's growing influence in regional and global politics. He attributed this to the country's rich history, culture, and state traditions, which are aiding its rise to power and prominence. During his speech, the president highlighted Trkiye's recent diplomatic initiatives, including hosting Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa in Ankara for talks on security, reconstruction, trade, and bilateral relations.

Erdogan also pointed out Ankara's recent engagements with significant global figures, such as Rwandan President Paul Kagame and leaders of Palestinian resistance group Hamas. "This evening we will meet German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the Presidential Complex," Erdogan stated, reiterating Trkiye's dedication to shaping its future through active and strategic global engagement.
