Turkish Stock Exchange Climbs 3.73% at Tuesday’s Close

Istanbul: The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 13,175.74 points, marking a 3.73% increase from the previous close. After beginning the day at 12,951.57, the BIST 100 index gained 473.74 points compared to Monday's close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the index experienced a daily low of 12,904.13, while the high reached 13,199.51. Out of all the indexes, 94 appreciated in value, whereas five ended the day with losses. The total transaction volume amounted to 178 billion Turkish liras ($4.04 billion), and the overall index value was reported at 12.97 trillion liras ($294.79 billion).

The foreign exchange rates were also noted, with the USD/TRY exchange rate at 44.0365 as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT). The EUR/TRY rate was recorded at 51.3365, and the GBP/TRY traded at 59.3280. Additionally, the price of gold was $5,225.95 per ounce, and the barrel price of Brent oil was $86.05.
