Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100, opened Thursday at 9,354.28 points, marking an increase of 0.58% or 53.98 points from the previous close. According to Anadolu Agency, on Wednesday, the BIST 100 index saw a rise of 0.80%, closing at 9,300.30 points. The daily transaction volume reached 109 billion liras, approximately equivalent to $3.18 billion. In the currency market, the exchange rates were reported with the USD/TRY at 34.3607, the EUR/TRY at 36.2343, and the GBP/TRY at 43.5864 as of 10.10 am (0710GMT). Additionally, the price of one ounce of gold was noted at $2,558.40, while Brent crude oil was priced around $71.89 per barrel.
