ANKARA: Trkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 9,872.85 points, gaining 1.01% or 98.36 points from the previous close. On Wednesday, the BIST 100 index rose 0.17% to 9,774.49 points, with a daily transaction volume of 63 billion liras ($1.84 billion). As of 09.52 a.m. (0652GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 34.0663, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.9593, while the GBP/TRY rate was 45.1332.
