Twin Earthquakes Strike Qinghai Province in Western China

Qinghai: A magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck western China's Qinghai province on Tuesday, minutes after a magnitude 5.7 quake hit the same region, according to the US Geological Survey.

According to Anadolu Agency, the first quake struck at 11.16 am local time (0316GMT) at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles), while the second occurred at 11.34 am (0334GMT) at the same depth.

There were no immediate reports of casualties, injuries or damage, according to Chinese authorities.
