Beirut: Two people were killed early Friday in an attack carried out by the Israeli army in Lebanon's capital, an Anadolu correspondent reported. According to information obtained from medical teams, the attack, which Israel carried out without prior warning, targeted a parked vehicle in the Jnah area of southern Beirut.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli army issued a statement on March 2, indicating that sirens were activated in northern Israel after detecting a missile fired from Lebanon. In response, it announced that it had conducted airstrikes across Lebanon, including Beirut, and decided to expand its ground operations in the country, carrying out intense attacks by air and sea.

The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that the death toll from Israeli attacks since March 2 has risen to 687, with 1,774 people injured. The escalating conflict has forced 822,600 people to seek refuge in shelters, according to the Lebanese government.
