London: UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy expressed his horror over the Israeli strikes on the Nasser Medical Complex in the Gaza Strip, urging an immediate ceasefire.

According to Anadolu Agency, the attack on Monday resulted in the deaths of 20 Palestinians, including five journalists and a firefighter, with numerous others wounded. The Gaza Health Ministry reported that the casualties included patients, health workers, civil defense personnel, and press crews. The Israeli army targeted the fourth floor of a building within the complex with two airstrikes, the second of which occurred as rescue teams were on site to evacuate the wounded and recover the dead.

Official Palestine TV announced that its cameraman Hussam al-Masri was among those killed, while Qatari channel Al Jazeera confirmed the death of its photographer Mohammad Salama. Additionally, a medical source cited by Anadolu confirmed the passing of photojournalist Mariam Abu Dagga. Moaz Abu Taha, another photojournalist, was also killed in the strike. Further confirmation from medical sources to Anadolu stated that Ahmed Abu Aziz, a freelance reporter for Tunisian and Moroccan news sites, succumbed to his injuries from the attack.
