London: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer held a phone call with US President Donald Trump amid the recent military confrontation between Israel and Iran. The conversation comes as tensions escalate following Israel's military operation targeting Iran's nuclear and military facilities.

According to Anadolu Agency, the leaders discussed the ongoing military action in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of diplomacy and dialogue. Starmer's office released a statement indicating that the Prime Minister expressed "grave concerns" over Iran's nuclear program. The statement further mentioned that both leaders are looking forward to further discussions at the G7 summit in Canada next week.

The conflict intensified with Israel's military operation, which commenced early Friday. The strikes focused on Iran's nuclear and military sites, resulting in the deaths of top military commanders and scientists. Key Iranian cities such as Tehran, Natanz, Tabriz, and Isfahan were targeted during these operations, which continued until Friday night.
