Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed on Wednesday that Russian forces launched 117 drones in overnight strikes, targeting multiple regions and causing significant damage to civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy stated that the attacks affected the Dnipro, Sumy, Cherkasy, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions, with a particularly large drone strike on Kryvyi Rih damaging a local enterprise and civilian infrastructure. In Okhtyrka, Sumy region, homes and stores were reportedly hit.

The Ukrainian president called for stronger international action against Moscow, urging for more pressure and sanctions from the United States to halt Russian strikes. He emphasized that Moscow's continued attacks show a lack of intention to seek peace, referencing a US-backed ceasefire proposal from March 11. Zelenskyy noted that Russia's nightly attacks serve as a rejection of the peace proposal put forward by Ukraine's partners.
